Optimal Named 2021 Best Place to Work by Washington Business Journal

BPTW

Rockville, Maryland – Optimal Networks, a globally ranked IT services firm, received the Washington Business Journal 2021 Best Places to Work award on Thursday, April 8th.

While Optimal has over a dozen workplace achievement awards to its name, this is the first year Optimal has achieved this particular local honor. Recipients are selected based on survey responses from employees themselves, not a panel of judges.

The win is especially gratifying as competition was higher than ever before: “This year, we had a record number of submissions — and a record number of companies who completed the survey and qualified,” said the Washington Business Journal upon notification of all recipients. “Making the competition even tougher, our list has been pared down to honor just 75 companies this year — down from 110 the year prior. This change allows our honored companies to shine as the best of the best.

Perhaps most poignantly, this award comes on the heels of one of the most challenging years in recent history, and one that has put corporate culture to the test in countless ways; between devising new ways to stay connected during a global pandemic, to navigating painful social injustice, to enduring complex emotional stressors, our workplaces became institutions of front-line support.

Heinan Landa, Optimal’s Founder & CEO, is humbled to receive such a meaningful award during such extraordinary times. “It’s nothing new for me to be in awe of our team, but to see us come together so strongly over this past year has been more special than I can put into words,” says Landa. “We’re so thrilled to be named among such fantastic company, and for the recognition of our team’s dedication to maintaining a safe, supportive, challenging, and fun work environment — even during local, national, and global crises.”
