I had a nightmare the other night. I was pinned down by shiny white cords. They kept coming out of the ground like weeds, trapping me. When I finally broke free, I could see that the cords had been plugged into outlets. Then the alarm on my iPhone rang.
As I turned it off, I noticed that I had forgotten to charge it overnight and it was about to die on me. Believe me, the irony was not lost.
To some degree, we all feel trapped by the limited battery life of our smartphones.
