How to Choose the Right Technology Provider

Do you know the top danger to your business? I’ll give you a hint: It is something on which your entire organization depends, yet there is no industry-wide way to vet its competence.

That’s right, it’s your IT function.

Think about it for a minute: If a legal situation presents itself, you go to your organization’s law firm and get advice. This lawyer had to have passed law school and the bar exam for the state in which they are practicing. Already, you have two positive indicators that this person is qualified to give solid legal advice. (And yes, it is no guarantee of good advice, but you at least have a starting point of competence).

The story is pretty much the same if you have an accounting problem and turn to a CPA.

However, if you have an IT problem, the story takes a dramatic turn…
